Playstate software license
A fair license for a small app.
These terms govern your use of Playstate. They are written to be readable, but they are still a legal agreement.
1. License grant
A lifetime purchase grants one person a personal, non-transferable license to install and use Playstate on Macs they own or control. A business must purchase one license per user unless Playstate agrees otherwise in writing.
2. Trial
You may evaluate the full app for 30 minutes of use. The trial is measured in actual app usage time, not elapsed calendar time, so it does not expire while Playstate is idle or closed. When the 30 minutes are used up, the app continues to run, but it will repeatedly prompt you to purchase a license, and licensed use requires a valid license key.
3. Lifetime and updates
“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the purchased major product, not the purchaser’s lifetime or a promise that every future product will be free. The purchase includes compatibility and maintenance updates for the current product. A future paid major upgrade may be sold separately.
4. Restrictions
You may not redistribute license keys, sell or sublicense the app, bypass license enforcement, distribute modified copies, or use Playstate to violate another service’s terms. Applicable law may preserve rights to inspect or reverse engineer software for interoperability; nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
5. Validation and revocation
Each license is cryptographically signed and may be used offline. The app may periodically contact Playstate with its license identifier to validate status. A license may be revoked for a refunded or charged-back purchase, payment fraud, a duplicated or publicly distributed key, or a material breach of these terms. Revocation disables licensed features and is shown to the user; Playstate does not remotely delete files or operate a hidden binary killswitch.
6. Refunds
Contact support@playstateapp.com within 14 days of purchase if the app does not work for your setup. Approved refunds revoke the associated license.
7. Third-party services
HomePod, Sonos, Music.app, Apple Music, and Last.fm are operated by third parties. Their software, services, and protocols can change. Playstate does not guarantee uninterrupted compatibility and is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.
8. Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Playstate is provided “as is” without warranties, and liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
